Audio Visual Operations Manager

This position is responsible for the overall operational design, availability, and maintenance of systems related to A/V, low voltage and entertainment.




  • Maintains overall responsibility for technical aspects on audio visual systems, including, but not limited to: audio, video, lighting, control, CCTV, hardware and software upgrades and installation, technical support, cabling, infrastructure, and meeting room setup.
  • Works with Catering and Sales Managers to insure proper meeting and event setup for guests
  • Works with vendors and writers for concerts
  • Oversees the design and installation of all audio visual networks.
  • Oversees the design and installation of all audio visual setups
  • Monitors performance and utilization of systems. Performs analysis of such to provide optimal performance and reliability.
  • Responsible for implementation of new software packages and upgrades to existing packages.
  • Works with management to develop plans, forecasts, and budgets for the department.
  • Responsible for managing and training the audio visual staff.
  • Interacts with vendors regarding hardware and software purchases, upgrades and maintenance and training or other relevant issues.
  • Prioritizes projects and resources for services, installation and support.
  • Collaborates with Director to develop standards for technology.
  • Prepares progressive reports for all work performed.
  • Works with management staff on special event and entertainment needs and planning.
  • This is a working position, covering operations as work load requires
  • Other duties as assigned


•5+ years supervisory experience
•6+ years experience with audio, video, control systems and like technology
•Able to prioritize and get projects done in a demanding environment
•Experience in systems integration
•Extensive hands-on knowledge of major audio, video, control and display systems and signal distribution
