  • The Admin resposabilites are to create sheets for all the betting propositions in a creative & professional manner. With the current computer technology at our disposal, it is possible to form creations of all kinds. While there is nothing too fancy about a Race & Sports betting sheet, being creative enough to design a sheet unique to the Atlantis is important. An Admin Operator must be proficient and experienced and able to adapt to daily challenges in a quick and efficient manner.
  •  Use internet for researching information. An Admin Operator must be very comfortable and experienced with all areas of computers, whether it’s surfing the Web, designing sheets or explaining to the Manager how something works.
  • Use available technology to control TV’s and sound system. Part of the Admin Operator’s duties will be a jack-of-all-trades kind of helper. Knowing how to work our new, state-of-the-art TV system will be one of those trades.
  • Act as a “do-all” kind of assistant and jump in whenever help is needed by supervisors. There will be times when our Book is very busy. The Manager will be moving lines, the writers will be swamped writing tickets, and the supervisors will be taking care of our guests. This is when the Admin Operator must be willing and able to step to the plate. It will never involve specialized knowledge like line-moving; however, it will require a helpful, team oriented, can-do type of attitude.
  • Make sure all sheets are well-stocked and up to date on a daily basis. In our Book, there are many slots around the perimeter which hold our betting sheets. You must find time to cruise about looking for areas which may need restocked or updated.

This would include terminology, event dates, hours of operation, House Rules, Gaming regulations, etc.
  • Set up games and post scores. Knowing when to be at your station to enter results and answer the bell for other requirements is critical. When our guests have a winner, we do not want to keep them waiting.
