Assistant Manager - Retail

Under the direction of the Manager, the incumbent in this position is responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of the retail outlets. The Assistant Manager will coach and manage the performance of the retail team, creating and reinforcing the organizational culture of excellent service.

The Assistant Manger – Retail, as with all members of the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa Team, provides excellent customer service to all guests and Team Members, is expected to conduct himself/herself in a manner which demonstrates initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercises confidentiality in the appropriate areas of his/her performance. The incumbent shares in the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa support of the company’s Vision, Mission, Values, and consistently performs all functions in a fashion that inspires and motivates others to actively pursue them. As part of the leadership team, role models the expected behaviors of service, positive attitude, cooperation and accountability. Engenders trust in others and develops credible relationships at all levels.




•Assists with inventory selection and ordering for the Gift shop and Sundry shop
•Assists with managing inventory and seasonal rollovers to maximize profitability
•Provides innovative ideas and makes recommendations for maximizing guest satisfaction with inventory and aesthetic display of merchandise
•Responsible for onboarding and training Team Members
•Manages Team Member performance to meet service objectives; enforces company policy and procedures where needed
•Handles guest issues and disputes
•Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.


TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE (Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience)

•Excellent communication skills
•Demonstrated organizational skills, including attention to detail
•Excellent problem solving skills
•Minimum of five years’ experience in retail or resort gift shop.
•Background in hospitality helpful


The Assistant Retail Manager works on-site at the casino and interfaces with external/internal customers, Team Members, and vendors on a regular basis. The position’s work schedule varies and may include Saturday/Sunday and evening work depending on the needs of the operation.
