Overview

The Director of Information Technology is a leader focused on streamlining operations while implementing new technology to advance the Atlantis for our guests and Team Members. This position will establish, plan, and direct the overall operations and goals for the Information Technology department, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the Information Technology and Audio-Visual departments
  • Leads, motivates and directs the efforts of project management and other staff responsible for developing and executing corporate strategic initiatives or major projects. Ensures the safe, timely and economic completion of major projects.
  • Provides leadership, management, delivery and coordination of activities required to enable and support the property
  • Interacts with other departments to determine their requirements and to understand their perceived levels of customer service
  • Manages employees including assessing employee performance and identifies training and development opportunities for employees. Develops and implements employee performance improvement and career planning actions
  • Manages vendors and partners. Provides regular upper management level communication on status of projects/initiatives
  • Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company
  • Works with management to develop plans, forecasts, and budgets for the I.T. department
  • Working practice and knowledge of internal infrastructure, systems, and networking
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The incumbent in this position works on-site at all properties and interfaces with external/internal customers, Team Members, and vendors on a regular basis. The position’s work schedule varies and may include Saturday/Sunday and evening work depending on the needs of the operation. 

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk, and hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.  

 

Qualifications

TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s degree and certifications in related areas of technology or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years in hospitality and/or gaming IT
  • Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems
  • Proactive – always looking for ways to improve the company
  • Personable – ability to work with varying personalities, and skill sets
  • Ability to manage individuals and projects
  • Strong prioritization skills, to address highest impacting projects

 

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

  • Must be 21 or older
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a Gaming Card in all of company’s jurisdictions
