    This position is responsible for performing financial, operational, and technical analysis. This position provides support to enterprise management by ensuring business strategies and financial goals are achieved. Actively contribute to the Company’s financial analysis based on their expertise and manage a group of financial analysts to reach company reporting and analysis goals in a timely manner. The Financial Analysis will be responsible for supporting the budget process, financial modeling, strategic analysis, and forecasting. The Financial Analysis will be the key contact and subject matter expert for financial and analytical reporting within the Company and must have the ability to communicate, present and disseminate financial data to leaders within the properties.



    Essential Job Functions:
    •Assists in assessing and communicating financial and operating results to managers.
    •Responsible for weekly and monthly financial and labor reporting.
    •Works with Accounting Management to develop appropriate financial and operating metrics for use by management in decision making.
    •Assists and implements process improvements derived from Operations and Finance by utilizing current tools or implementing new systems.
    •Strives to find potential for automation of current processes and creates a project plan to have them implemented timely.
    •Develops and maintains advanced Excel and Cognos Finance tools as well as cross training certain staff as back up support.
    •Develops financial and operating statements.
    •Utilizes SQL to collect data from various databases in order to develop reports and perform analysis.
    •Validates results in order to ensure reporting accuracy.
    •Perform accurate and timely preparation, maintenance and reporting of monthly and year-end financial statements that summarize and forecast the company's financial activity and position.
    •Responsible for supporting the senior management team in the production of strategic plans and any modeling of various other financial transactions including assisting with special projects by providing strategic analysis.
    •Perform ad hoc analysis as directed by senior management relating to strategic initiatives across the property including labor analytics, standardized report creation, various department operational analyses & reporting.
    •Develop and improve new and existing operations and marketing reporting. Utilize access to Cognos data warehouse to build out automated reporting wherever possible.
    •Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans/reports, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts.
    •Prepare annual business plan along with any additional requested analysis.
    •Work with other senior and executive managers to identify emerging opportunities and issues to include, but not limited to, revenue enhancement, cost control and standardization.
    •Regular and predictable attendance.
    •Perform other job related duties as may be assigned.


    •Education: College degree in accounting/finance/economics or related field required. Master’s in Business Administration preferred.
    •Experience of at least two (2) to four (4) years with significant exposure in financial analysis in casino hotel industry.
    •Must have a high proficiency level with computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, Access Stratton Warren / MMS, Infor, Cognos Finance and Cognos TM1 experience preferred
    •Must possess knowledge of hotel/casino operations as it pertains to accounting procedures and internal controls
    •Must possess ability to manage multiple tasks
    •Must be detail-oriented
    •Must possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and develop project plans to coordinate a path forward.
    •Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
    •Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required and familiarity with relational databases preferred.
    •Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
    •Skilled in English grammar and spelling.
    •Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
    •Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
    •Ability to perform basic math. Ability to operate a 10-key.
    •Previos relevant experience - including in a managerial capacity - is preferred.
    •Must be able to handle non-standard situations where some judgment must be exercised.
